About the Event

Join us Wednesday, April 17th from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm (Mountain Time) for the NABat Community of Practice call on Bats and Mine Lands.

Speakers:

Brian Dailey, Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation, and Enforcement (OSMRE), will present on behalf of the Protecting Bats at Coal Mines Committee, and share info on the OSMRE Applied Science program and technical assistance provided by the agency.

Brianne Cassidy, OSMRE, will provide a presentation on the National Mine Map Repository and share the technical assistance, maps, and other resources available to folks working in/on mine lands.

Kris Doebbler, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), will share background on BLM's Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) program and their partnership with Bat Conservation International to identify abandoned mine lands important for bats and other wildlife.
